Raybrig, You Light Up My Life

While most of the 80’s technology is perfect for my needs, the lighting is one of the few things that I might occasionally admit is a bit lacking when compared to modern options.

Now the question becomes how do you improve the light output with out ruining the vibe of the car.

Back to back stock VS Raybrig.

So that leaves HID’s and LED’s and all that modern shit off the table.

Enter the Raybrig housings.  They offer quite a bit more lighting than stock and with plenty of JDM rep points to boot.  Now if were being honest I was pretty excited by these up to the point where I drove the car around in traffic.  While they are substantially brighter than stock and would work well on there own on even the darkest back road, they still can’t compete with the modern lighting options.  So the first time that row of LED’s under the HID head lamp comes up from behind it’s still going to cause your pupils to have to re-adjust meaning you won’t see shit in front of you.  For this car I think these are perfect.  For a car you are going to drive on a regular basis I think I would still do these for the look.  I just might upgrade the bulbs to something a bit brighter.
