On June 18th, we took the AE86 down to the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds for Hot Import Nights San Jose.
I’ve given enough of a personal review on the show in the Bay Area Auto Scene coverage, so I won’t get into that again. I haven’t changed too much since the last event other than the new Raybrig headlights. I couldn’t do a HIN show with stock lights could I?
The day before the show I spent the better part of 14 hours doing a full wheels off detail. Unlike Toyotafest no rain destroyed my efforts on the way to the show this time so two big thumbs up to Mother Nature for helping me out.
My efforts seemed to have paid off. While I didn’t technically bring home any recognition from HIN themselves, (or even see/meet the judges which seemed odd) I did get to meet quite a few new people and sit back in my chair taking random photos of people taking photos of my car. Always entertaining.
