The battery tie down wasn’t as bad as a lot I have seen, and it was obvious that someone had painted over the rust at some point to “restore” it’s look, but I figured I would touch it up until I found a suitable replacement.
I cleaned off much of the factory flaking coating before sand blasting, and then trimming it to remove the really rusted sections. I finished it up with some black powder coating. Far from perfect but far better than seeing rust coming through spray paint.
