The First hurdle is getting to the event. Obviously you want the car to look it’s best, if only mother nature would cooperate.
Luckily the previous nights rain was mostly dried up. Mostly.
The Corolla has been at a few meets, (Blackhawk Museum’s Cars and Coffee, South Bay old School meet, etc) but the most recent major event it had the chance to take part in was the 3rd annual Initial D meet.
If I said I was a huge fan of the Initial D anime I would be lying. I know of it, I’ve watched some of it, I just don’t live for it. To quote Seinfeld “not that there’s anything wrong with that”.

The meet was much larger than I had expected and had a ton of cool cars on hand. Maybe I’ll have to pay a bit more attention to this whole Initial D thing.
