Pump It Up … Not So Much

So last Friday as I’m getting ready to leave work I get this phone call from a panicked owner of a 1987 Toyota Corolla FX16 GTS.  It had randomly died on the side of the 880 freeway.  Not a great place to be. I mean what ever happened to people slowing down or moving over for people on the shoulder?

Even with the limited tools on hand we were able to figure out that it wasn’t getting fuel to the fuel rail.  There wasn’t much we could do, so the FX had to get a lift home.  Last weekend some quick diagnostics said it had power back to the plug under the back seat but we still had no fuel pressure up front.

Now the FX is back to running and driving status again.
