Way back when I did the rear suspension install, I ran into a bit of a problem. Even with the T3 spacers the back was going to be quite a bit lower than I wanted. As a temporary solution I re-used part of the Megan Racing coilovers. While this worked quite well, I sold the Megan Racing Coilovers and we met at JCCS to make the deal. So since it’s been more than two months I figured I better get going on making the spacers I needed to be able to send this guy the rest of his coilovers.
I started with 2″ thick blocks of aluminum and got started by using a hole saw to bore a hole through the center. Yes this took forever, but if you don’t have a mill this is what you do.
I roughed in the outside dimensions with the band saw.
Then moved to the lathe to make a whole lot of shavings.
Then made a whole lot more making the second one.
I made the spacer a bit thicker than what I had the adjusters set to so I would have a little extra lift. Best of all I can finally send out the rest of these Megan Racing Coilovers.
