I am a stickler for using factory Toyota parts on my Toyotas. Most of these cars have higher than average mileage and they do because of the quality of those factory parts. Why would you choose something else? Well for me there are two times. One when you buy or build something cool that goes well above and beyond what the original design ever intended, and two that sad day when Mr T tells you “I’m sorry that part has been DISCONTINUED“. Sadly I have been hearing the later phrase all too often lately, and apparently the Camry isn’t going to be any different. The good news is that Rock Auto had quite a bit of what I needed to fix a few leaks, and freshen things up. The better news is that it was all under $100!
I managed to knock out a complete tune up, fix the valve cover leaks, and the leaking CV joint.

While I would have rather had that lead shot show a pile of Toyota boxes, I’m glad that Rock Auto kept me from trying to make my own parts!
